Since I’ve returned to SE Asia from Mexico, I’ve been able to dramatically increase the amount of insects I’m eating in my otherwise plant-based diet every day. And so far, it’s feeling like some type of entomophagic fountain of youth!

I’ve been able to workout as hard as I want, and I feel energized, strong, and able to really push it. That’s something I haven’t felt up to for a long time.

And along with that, my muscle recovery is better than it has been in a very long time, at least 5 years it seems like. I’ve struggled – as I’ve mentioned here – with going hard on the basketball court or working out, only to be basically forced to rest for the next 2-3 days because I could hardly walk.

But so far, I’m not feeling those type of debilitating effects from muscle soreness at all. It’s like my system is finally receiving all the nutrients it needs, and because of it, I don’t wake up feeling like I got hit by a semi-truck in my sleep, but I wake up energized and feeling good. It’s remarkable.

I’ve spent a lot of time getting treatment the past few years, because doing what I love is worth it. But if there are other anti-aging methods which don’t require costly and time-consuming therapy, I want to know! Could eating insects be one of those anti-aging methods?

The only major change to my diet, workouts, and lifestyle has been to really boost the amount of insects I’m eating on a daily basis. To the point where it seems like I’m eating way too much, 3, 4, 5 times a day consuming insects or insect protein powder in foods or smoothies.

But the results so far are very positive. Week 1’s in the books and I feel better than I have in years. Will this continue for the next 11 weeks? I sure hope so!
